I cannot say enough about e.l.f. Cosmetics. So, where do I begin? Well first, e.l.f. stands for "eyes, lips, face" and the line proves that you don't need to spend a fortune for quality makeup. Of course, like any brand, there are hits and misses. But on the upside, any "misses" won't cost you a pretty penny (as you can see in my most recent haul).
In my opinion, the prices are beyond afforadable. Products range from $1-$5 and because of this, I find that I'm open to be a little more bold or fierce when choosing the items that I want which is such a welcomed change. It's almost like shopping with minimal to no consequences!
e.l.f. cosmetics can be found online but I've also had success at my local Target. I'm going to say that only select Targets have their products because I don't find them at every one. The products also seem to come in cycles. Target will have e.l.f. products on the shelves one week, and they're gone the next so, I like to stock up when I can!
I thought I'd end this post with some of my elf favorites (not in any particular order).
- e.l.f. studio brushes ($3) - These baby's are so affordable! And because of its affordability, I'm able to wash my brushes with backups in tow! There are 3 lines of brushes - "essentials" / "minerals" and "studio." The studio brushes are definitely my favorite because I find them to be the softest (I find its difference in softness from the "essentials" and "minerals" line to be drastic).
- e.l.f. studio blushes ($3) - I wonder if I'm brave enough to go on a limb here and say that e.l.f.'s studio blush in "blushing rose" is a good dupe for Nars Orgasm. Both are in my makeup collection and both are eerily similar. My other favorites in this line are "Pink Passion" and "Fuschia Fusion." These blushes are the prettiest baby pinks that add a soft touch of color to the cheeks. Fuschia Fusion does have glitter in its palette but it's barely noticeable when you put it on.
- e.l.f. liquid eyeliner ($1) - Liquid eyeliner is an every day essential for me. I think that e.l.f.'s liquid liner is a bit watery in product but it comes with an easy to use felt tip, pointed applicator. After a few weeks of consistent use, I haven't found it to smudge and it's holding power lasts over 5-6 hrs. without a touch up. Not bad for $1. If anything, it's a great product to store in your purse in case of emergencies!
