Recent Beauty Hauls

Happy December everyone! I've been MIA for awhile but I'm back today to write about a few beauty items I've picked up recently.

misstking and I attended Sephora's VIB Holiday Shopping Event on November 10th. The event included a live dj, an array of chocolates, beauty samples galore, and most importantly... 20% off our entire purchase!

Here, I picked up the must-have perfume by Chloe, MUFE's Mat Velvet Foundation, and a new sharpener (below).

I've been waiting to rave about my Chloe perfume. I haven't found a perfume to die for in years. As juvenile as it may be, the only fragrance I've ever really "loved" was "Ralph" by Ralph Lauren; which I am reluctant to admit that I've been using since...oh, maybe high school. So, it was definitely time to invest in a "big girl" perfume. In my best explanation, this Chloe perfume is a delicate medley of musk and floral.

Borghese Mud Mask and Zoya Mini Polish was acquired via BirchBox!
Neither ingredient overpowers the other. If you are someone who enjoys a fruitier scent, this may not be for you.

The next item I'm loving is MUFE's Mat Velvet Foundation. An associate at Sephora was nice enough to color match me and we landed on #45 which seems too dark for me in the bottle but upon application, matched perfectly! I've never been more happy with a foundation than this. This foundation provides medium coverage, and is easy to blend. It's mattifying properties are prevelant without muting the face. If you're someone with combination to oily skin who powders their face every so few hours, I'd definitely give this a try. Don't let the compact packaging fool you though; It holds just as much product as MAC foundations. Definitely worth every penny.

--Skipping my thoughts on the sharpener since I think you can find a good one just about anywhere. I just happened to pick one up from Sephora due to convenience.--

Upon my purchases, I also picked up Sephora's 500 Point Gift which included a Dior Charm Bracelet (below) and a Sephora Exclusive mini bottle of Dior's "Addict to Life" fragrance. This gift actually came at the most opportune time since I was actually contemplating picking up the "Addict to Life" fragrance prior to this.

Again, my best attempt to describe this fragrance is that it's a subtle, soft, alluring floral, making for a clean scent. A little also goes a long way with this. I've used it almost every other day and the bottle still looks full. Another definite repurchase once I'm done with this sample. Zero complaints about this gift with purchase!

This entry is getting a little lengthy, so till next time everyone! And don't forget to check out MissTKing's blog as well. :)

Discovering Bobbi Brown & Lancome Doll Lashes

It's been a minute since my last post but to be honest, I haven't purchased many "beauty" items recently. I guess I went on a mini detox but I'm back today with a quick update on my most recent Sephora purchases.

Up until 2 weeks ago, I was a virgin to Bobbi Brown Cosmetics. I'm not sure why I never caught interest in the line prior to it's introduction to Sephora stores. Even so! For months, I ghosted by Sephora's Bobbi Brown section but one random night on the internet changed all of that. I came across Michelle Money's (from The Bachelor & Bachelor Pad 2) beauty channel on YouTube. The video's aren't high quality nor are they on par with some of the other YouTube guru's but she's beautiful and so I watched; only to find the majority of the products highlighted were from Bobbi Brown. Well, curiousity sparked and I also ran out of bronzer. I'm lying, of course. Anyway...

I picked up Bobbi Brown's Bronzer in "Medium" and brightening gloss in "Popsicle." Could I have skipped on the bronzer? Yes. Is it because I have a few hundred other unfinished bronzers laying around? Maybe. But I also think NYC's Bronzer in "Sunny" is comparable. It's not as pigmented. Maybe a tad more orange. But also $3. Can you beat that? Certainly not. I still want to give props to Bobbi Brown though because I don't regret this purchase. The "Medium" shade is beautiful. It has a wonderful color pay out, applies matte, and matches me well. A little product also goes a long way. For those MAC enthusiasts, I'm about an NC35 at the moment.

Bronzer ramblings aside, Bobbi Brown's Brightening Gloss is fabulous! It's not flavored or scented; which is good (in my opinion) only because some products try so hard to either taste good or smell good. It all becomes slightly nauseating after awhile. In addition, this gloss has great staying power and adds a slight tint to your lips. Do I look like I just ate "Popsicle" after applying this gloss? Yes. But it's still very natural and great for everyday wear. If you're curious, I'd say go ahead and try it.

The last item I purchased was Lancome's Doll Lashes. Ugh! Did Lancome promote the crap out of this product or what? But shame on me for not being able to resist hardcore advertising and taking the plunge. Though I prefer the narrowed cone shape wand better than Lancome's Hypnose Drama Mascara, I don't find the Doll Lash formula to be better. The formula is more wet and heavy. Consequentially, my lashes fall flat. Doll lash fail. I would say that if your lashes are naturally longer, this would definitely work for you but those of you with short lashes, beware.

Hidden TJ Maxx Finds!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Mine was busy, busy, busy. But in between family, friends, lunch dates, and dinner plans, I was able to slip away to do a little shopping. What I found was a beautiful pair of Steve Madden Leopard Oxfords! Let me first backtrack a little to give you a little background info.

It all started when I  received a Nordstrom's catalogue in the mail at the start of the weekend and spotted a smart pair of oxfords (below) by "Steven by Steve Madden." The pair displayed in the catalogue was rhinestone studded, and valued at $150 - not exactly your most practical shoe. But then I thought: maybe I could find it cheaper elsewhere.

After a little research on the Steve Madden website, I was able to track down the same shoe in different prints. Sadly, even the oxfords (sans rhinestones) were priced at $120 (below); still making them impractical and just another item to lust after. Right?

One of the shops that I randomly like to visit from time to time is TJ Maxx. Stores like these tend to either be a hit or miss given their random inventory but it's a great way to find designer items for less.

Given my less than spectacular storytelling, I'm sure you all know where this story is headed. I'll continue anyway. While perusing the shoe aisle, I came across the pair of Oxfords that I saw on the website for only $49.99! Yes, I almost burst with happiness. So, if I used my college degree correctly, that's about a 40% discount. Yippee! So this must be what smart shopping is all about! *pats back* I'm now fully ready to tackle the fall season.

Revlon Glitter Polishes!

Today, I would like to pay homage to Revlon's glitter polishes. These polishes are AMAZING! I will say that the collection was difficult to track down but after a few visits to my local Target stores, success! I found them. From the collection, I passed on "Blue Mosaic," a bright, glittery blue but decided to pick up "Starry Pink" and "Facets of Fuschia."

3 coats of Starry Pink was applied for full opacity;
but you can definitely get away with the regular 2 coats.
"Starry Pink" (right) is the reason why I began my quest to track down Revlon's glitter polishes. This polish is one after my own heart. It is a baby, milky pink that is surprisingly quite opaque with speckles of silver, multi-dimensional glitters of all shapes and sizes. The polish applies surprisingly smooth and dries with minimal gradiance, especially after a top coat! It is long lasting, $3.50, and best of all, not a pain to remove given it's glittery properties.

The last shade I want to touch on from this collection is called "Facets of Fuschia" (below). The properties of this polish are identical to "Starry Pink" except that only 2 coats were needed for full opacity. The glitter in this polish is also purple rather than silver.

Facets of Fuschia (5 days old!)
I think "Facets of Fuschia" is so fall appropriate. This polish doesn't require much lighting to show off it's deep purple shade and the bits of glitter really make it far from ordinary.

I quickly snapped a picture of my nails today (right) to show the longevity of Revlon's glitter polishes. I applied "Facets of Fuschia" 5 days ago and besides the natural growth of my nails, there are no chips. The manicure is still seemingly perfect and in tact. Impressive, especially for drugstore!

If you happen to run across Revlon's Glitter collection, I would first and foremost recommend "Starry Pink" and to keep in mind that these polishes are less than HALF the price of a regular bottle of OPI ($8.50). Also, for what it's worth, these polishes are quite unique. Of all the polishes I've ever owned, I haven't yet come across shades quite like these.

Hope you guys enjoyed this quick post! Till next time... ;)

Lorac on HauteLook!

My Lorac purchases from HauteLook arrived yesterday in the mail. Take a look!

Here (left) we have 2 "Evening Out Complexion Kits" - one in "Light" and the other in "Medium." The "Medium" kit is perfect for me at the moment but I plan to use the "Light" kit come Winter. From what I hear, Lorac also created these kits in "Tan" and "Dark" but those options weren't available through the HauteLook sale.

So what comes in these kits? Well, a silky smooth (medium coverage) powder foundation and 2 cream concealers hidden in the bottom compartment. Super neat! I was not only impressed by the quality of this product but also the modern packaging. Plus, how chic is the reflective charcoal compact? Each Complexion Kit was priced at $10 on HauteLook.

Also pictured is Lorac's Muliplex 3-D Lipgloss with a brush applicator. This gloss turned out to be so much brighter in person than what was shown on the site. I quickly swatched the gloss last night and found the product to be sheer and on the dryer side. No further comments or fabulous first impressions to report here...

Nail Polish of the Week - OPI's "It's MY Year."

Here comes another polish update! This week's shade is named "It's MY Year," which once again is from OPI's Miss Universe Collection. This polish is beautiful; A warm purple with gold shimmer. 3 coats were applied for full opacity.

Benefit's "They're Real" Mascara Review

"They're Real" Mascara & Wand

Product Statistics

Hi everyone! Just wanted to post a quick review on Benefit's "They're Real" Mascara. Despite the negative reviews, I have to say, I'm really enjoying this mascara. For one, I've always been a fan of plastic brushes. I feel as though they separate and hold my lashes better than regular fiber brushes. Benefit's "They're Real" is no exception. It really delivers on its promise to lengthen, curl, and separate even the most stubborn lashes. I've even tried this mascara on my bottom lashes and holy smokes! I never knew my bottom lashes could even get that long. Amazing! And at a $22 price-point, definitely re-purchase worthy, especially for those of you with short, straight, or stubborn lashes.

HRH Collection - Ombre Bracelet

My first piece from HRH Collection came in yesterday! I am thrillllled with my newly acquired "Ombre Bracelet" (above). For once, the fit is perfect and I'm really loving the "Silver & Gold" combination. Tres chic!

Can I also mention my nails today? (above). I have on OPI's "Crown Me Already." I mean, so what if it's a little too sparkly and bright for the day time? This polish is both fun and spunky! I feel happy just looking at it. Plus, it's a good match to my new bracelet, no? :)

Ulta Haul

I had a 10% off coupon to Ulta. Promo for that coupon began on a Sunday. Why I decided to shop the Friday before? Beats me. Bad decision making and another reason why I would fail at extreme couponing. Let's move on.

We can skip the 2 polishes in the picture (right) since I literally just wrote an entry about them 5 seconds ago. The last two items: a lipstick and lashes are both from NYX. So, let's talk lipstick first, lashes second.

The lipstick is in the color "Circe." The lighting in this picture is making it come out somewhat orange which is not accurate. The color on the bottom of the tube is similar to a sandy brown. Also not accurate. This lipstick is actually a pretty nude color. Lesson of the day? Always swatch. And good thing I did because I'm now a fan. This lipstick is creamy, pigmented, non-drying, doesn't taste weird, and doesn't smell weird. Ah, love...

The eyelashes (left) are in #E107, I think? I'll have to check on that later and confirm but regardless, I love these lashes! Truly, I do. And probably more than I should because I had no expectations to begin with. Nevertheless, I feel the need to rave about them now since they are almost perfect. Both light weight and comfortable during wear, for once I didn't feel as if I had a set of falsies on. The lash length was attractively natural without becoming scary and best of all, I barely had to do any trimming! Now I must go back and purchase them all. Kidding, kidding. Sort of.

New Polishes - Zoya "Petra" & OPI "Crown Me Already"

During those long and tedious days/weeks/months/years, I use nail polish as quick inserts of happiness (don't judge). This time I picked up my first Zoya polish in the color "Petra" (right). This shade is a true espresso brown - great for ringing in the start of fall. I'm very much enjoying Zoya's smooth formula and small wide brush. Application is easy and most importantly - streak free! The polish is also rich, and true to color.

OPI's "Crown Me Already" on my ring finger,
layered upon Zoya's "Petra."

Since  I can never resist a little glitz and glam, the last polish that I picked up was OPI's "Crown Me Already" (left) from the Miss Universe collection. Love, love, love. I must say, this polish is FAB and so appropriate for the Miss Universe Collection! It is so nicely pigmented - filled with different sized glitter pieces. It's good to wear alone or layered. Either way, this will absolutely make you feel as if you have diamonds on your nails. OPI always delivers.

JewelMint Facebook Friday Deal!

Happy Friday my little beauty boxers! I've got a JewelMint Facebook Friday deal for you - valid for the next 24 hours only so take advantage!

August Sephora Haul

I'm not entirely sure why I stepped foot into Sephora this past weekend. Oh yes, because there was a promo for V.I.B. members to receive a hat box with tons of fabulous samples with any $35 purchase. I'm such a sucker.

The products that came in the hat box were: (left to right) At Home Brazilian Peel, Stila Coconut Crush Lip & Cheek Stain, Laura Mercier Volume Lash Building Mascara, Tokidoki Rollerball Fragrance, Benefit Sample Fragrance, Make Up Forever HD MicroFinish Powder, & Nars Multi-Primer.

In addition to my Hat Box of samples, I also received a Make Up Forever "Must-Haves" Bag. (Love, love, love!) Inside I found samples of their: Smoky Lash Mascara (pictured left), Aqua Eyes Eyeliner in Matte Black, and Lab Shine Lip Gloss.

Can we seriously just talk about how awesome these samples are? Sephora definitely did not skimp out on this. These samples alone just trumped every single BirchBox I've ever received. I can probably cancel my subscription now...

Now onto my real purchases...

Due to my current love affair with the Too Faced "Naked Eye" Palette, I felt compelled to buy the "Smokey Eye" Collection.

Let me tell you...this palette is fierce! There is not only a wonderful balance between shimmer and matte shadows but the colors are diverse enough to create any type of smokey eye your heart desires. From day to night, any look is achievable. For those who find a smokey eye to be daunting, step by step instruction cards are included with this! Neat huh? The cards can be a guide to create a day, classic, and fashion smokey eye.

Another item I picked up was the Sephora by OPI nail polish in "I Don't Bite." I am so disappointed! Why does the polish look nothing like the swatch (left) online? I feel the actual shade of purple (right) is extremely unflattering against my skin. The only thing keeping me from removing it all together is the glitter polish I added in a desperate attempt to add a little "umpf!" The added glitter polish is called "Only Gold for Me" and is also by Sephora by OPI. I've blogged about this polish before so I won't go into detail about why I like it but I have to mention that since it's so ridiculously difficult to remove, I do tend to overlook it.

My last purchase was the Clarisonic Plus Kit! The kit came with the Clarisonic Plus + Charger, 4 trial sized cleansers, 1 Sensitive Brush Head, and 1 Body Brush Head. Without a doubt I'm looking at this as a long-term investment. My boyfriend was initially looking to get this for himself but I wanted to give it a try too! So, we decided to purchase it together. Honestly, the price tag is steep but as costly as it is, I can't deny how smooth and polished my skin looks and feels.

We are currently on day 4 of daily use and as the knowledgable sales lady advised, your skin will get worse before it gets better. Both Mikey and I are seeing a few small breakouts here and there but if the end result is clear, beautiful skin then a few weeks of imperfections is well worth it. I will keep everyone posted!

Holy crap this was a long entry. Hope everyone enjoyed though!

It's a JewelMint Birthday!

I got my girlfriend JewelMint's Aqua Bomb Ring as a birthday gift.
Would you guys like this as a present?
I wish it came in my size! Boooo tiny fingers. :(

"Very Audrey" & "Eros" Earrings

Tsk, tsk. I made another 2-piece JewelMint purchase today. At least I managed to find the MILA22 promo code for $8 off. The code may be expired now but it's still worth a try. Nevertheless, I have a valid code released today for $6 off: FBFR6. Other codes to try: OLIVIA22.

The pieces that I ordered this time were both earrings. It was truly love at first sight with the "Very Audrey" earrings (left) which were recently brought back by popular demand. These earrings are right up my alley. Simple, and easy to wear with a touch of bling. I love classic femininity. Even Mike liked these! :)

The Eros Earrings (right) have been in my showroom for quite some time now but only recently, have they really grown on me. Unlike the Very Audrey's, this piece is  neither classic or feminine; but I'm beginning to appreciate the little extra something a chunky earring such as this adds to a look. Since they are currently "Almost Sold Out," I didn't want to risk missing out on them!

[Since I couldn't wait to post an update with my new pieces, all photo credits for this entry goes to the JewelMint website. Once my order arrives, I'll make updates with personal photos and reviews.]

Nail Polishes of The Week - OPI's "Dating a Royal" & "Silver Shatter."

Haven't done one of these in awhile so here's a pic of my nails this week:
Base: OPI Base Coat, Polishes: OPI Dating a Royal/OPI Silver Shatter, Top: Seche Vite Top Coat
[Sorry guys, ignore the background]
I'm loving this look! It's fun, edgy, and super easy to create. What do you guys think?

Lunching at Sephora...What?!

According to Wikipedia, I work walking distance to the 11th largest mall in the United States. Yes, I looked it up and yes, because of that, christmas, birthday, and anniversary, etc. presents suddenly wait until the last minute. Did I also mention that "lunch" has developed an entirely new meaning? Too often I use "lunch" to find a new outfit or pick up some last minute beauty must-haves. Today's meal time was no exception.

Since I'm attending a wedding this weekend, I'm busting out fake lashes and I'm going to need a bomb diggity lash glue to hold them in place. (P.S. my current glue is a hot mess). Fake lashes are supposed to enhance your peepers and not make them look wonky. Therefore, lashes that are lifting or sliding are simply unacceptable and not cute! So, what's my sure fix to these worries? Duo Eyelash Adhesive. In my opinion, it's totally worth it to spend $8 on a product that actually works, and works well. Nothing beats saving the stress and worry of having a makeup malfunction, especially at a big event.

The last item that I picked up from Sephora today was the Too Faced "Naked Eye" Palette. This collection comes with 9 neutral matte and shimmer shadows for $35. First impressions so far (since I've never actually tried shadows by Too Faced before) is that the shadows are easy to wear while offering a lot of pigmentation and versatility. It should be easy to create both day and night time looks with this. In fact, if this palette lives up to my expectations, I've already got my eye on its "Matte Eyeshadow Collection" available on July 21.

Sigh. The love for makeup never sleeps...

More JewelMint!

Happy July Everyone! Just wanted to have a quick JewelMint update showcasing the Rio Bravo Earrings and the Lunar Blue Necklace. Both are great statement pieces: bold and bright. See for yourself!
Lunar Blue Necklace
I typically wouldn't prefer something of this style but I like the nice touch of color it brings to a plainer outfit. The bold turquoise and fringed detailing make for a really unique piece to anyone's jewelry box. I had an H&M employee (lol) stop to tell me that they refrained from ordering this piece because they thought the pendant would be quite small. In real life, it's actually a decent size. Obviously not enormous but clearly visible when worn. My one complaint is that the chain is too long and I can't adjust the clasp far back enough to shorten it. Grrr... does anyone know of any fixes?

Rio Bravo Earrings
This is my absolute favorite JewelMint piece! How cute are these? Everything from the bright orange center to the tarnished metal make for a wonderfully chic bohemian-esque look. Love love love. I'm so excited to wear these out because I think they're a great finishing touch to a well thoughtout look. Despite my excitement, I'm having a hard time figuring out what to wear with these. Probably something solid but any suggestions on color? Anyways, no complaints on the craftsmanship here. These come with a clasped backing and although it may seem like it's going to break, the back does taper. Also true to JewelMint form, they carry some weight to them so be selective when choosing where to wear these to.

Less is More: Summer Foundation Routine

As you all know, I'm an avid viewer of all beauty videos on YouTube. Name the guru and I've watched, stalked, loved, then hated them. Kidding, of course. Well, sort of...

Last weekend, Leyla from EverythingLuxy, posted a video documenting her "Daytime Foundation Routine & Fresh Summer Make-Up." As I watched, I realized I owned the majority of the products in her routine. Then I thought: ding ding ding! *lightbulb* I could do that too! And so I did. Then proceeded to fall in love. Her daytime foundation routine is simple and minimal; Ideal for someone like myself, who's quite active throughout the summer months.

In my version of the routine, I predominantly use two products: Bare Mineral's (BM) Matte Foundation  in "Golden Beige" and Garnier's Anti-Dark-Circle Roller, which only comes in one color: Sheer Tint. For days at work, I may add a few touches of liquid foundation onto my troubled spots. I start off with Garnier's Anti-Dark-Circle Roller, a 2-in-1 eye care and concealer. Those with darker skin than me...maybe not the best product for you. This tint will be a good match for me come Winter but even now, it's applies slightly lighter. Although, I must admit that I do prefer the the lightening look beneath my eyes. At the moment, this is hands down my favorite concealer to use on an every day basis. It's definitely is no "Glamoflauge!" (See previous post). The consistency is not too runny or thick, easily blendable, and easy to apply with just the right amount of coverage. Just a few good swipes beneath the eyes make a huge difference. The brightening effect makes me appear so much more awake.

I end my routine with BM's Matte Foundation. I haven't used this product in so long that I forgot I even had it! Ahhh, can't believe it was just sitting around. Anyway, this is a good starter for those too scared to take the plunge into the world of liquid foundations. Coverage is sheer to a buildable medium but the product provides a great finish. Those with oily/combination skin may take a liking to the matte foundation which helps fight shine.

My favorite thing about this routine is that it's speedy and doesn't take much! 2-3 products max is all you need and it really only takes a few minutes to look well put and polished. Furthermore, it doesn't cover up the beautiful tan we develop during the warmer months.

Review: Fairy Drops Scandal Queen Mascara

Fairy Drops Mascara is a huge hit in Japan. It's advertised to be one of a kind due to its unique, rippled, fiber brush that is supposed to catch all lashes and provide an all-day curl. The idea is to achieve the look of having doll-like lashes, a staple favorite amongst the Asian community. Fairy Drops is so popular overseas that the wand was patented by its creator, a Japanese TV personality!

Please imagine my excitement when its Scandal Queen formula recently migrated its way over to the States. I fully expected Scandal Queen to trump my beloved Lancome Hypnose Drama mascara but heartbreak ensued when I realized the mascara didn't give me the lift or curl that I was expecting it to. The fact that Scandal Queen is an Asian brand made me all the more surprised since one of the most common complaints by we Asians is that many mascaras don't deliver its promoted results. Often times, it's because Asian lashes tend to be shorter and lay straight making them difficult to curl. Those exact reasons are why it takes a special mascara to bring our stubborn lashes to an all-day curl.

For now, the Sephora four-star rated Scandal Queen mascara's best use will be on my very few bottom lashes and I am back to professing my love for Lancome's Hypnose Drama mascara.

Super Tired? No Worries!

To (maybe) all three of my readers, I know you all work hard and live the daily grind but I won't be suggesting coffee, red bull, or green tea to you. Rather yet, concealer. I have found the strongest formula to date! And at the most surprising place: Walmart.

Remember when Hard Candy was once considered a high end cosmetic brand? If not, then take my word for it. I'm not sure what happened to brand, but the only place I ever find their products now is at Walmart. About a month ago, I was perusing through the makeup aisles and spotted: "Glamoflauge." The packaging was incredibly tacky and a bit too teenager for me. So what made me take the plunge and purchase it? Three reasons. 1) It was undoubtedly the end of the week; meaning I haven't had my usual dose of "weekend sleep" to relieve the bags beneath my eyes. Words such as: "heavy duty" and "super performant" on the packaging suddenly became ridiculously attractive. 2) Concealing bags and dark circles beneath my eyes could up my overall appearance by half a notch. Sorry,  I'm not naturally beautiful. and 3) I ran out of concealer. Crap. Well, into the cart Glamoflauge went!

This product requires a user warning. Maximum dosage: one drop. This concealer goes on thick as PASTE and be sure to blend, blend, blend right away. It dries quickly. I don't even recommend using a brush. Using your fingers will give you the best, streak-free results.

So, why would I even like this? From what I wrote above, application sounds difficult and aren't airy/light weight products all the rage right now? Remember those key descriptions: "heavy duty" and "super perfromant?100% true. A tiny bit goes a long way. This has amazing coverage and hypothetically, I probably shouldn't have to buy another concealer for years! Lastly, be honest. We all have days where our appearance needs more than just a "little" help.

First JewelMint Order!

So, I finally finally finallllyyyy signed up for Jewelmint less than two weeks ago and my first order arrived in record time. In case you don't know, Jewelmint is a monthly subscription service for exclusive jewelry pieces created by Kate Bosworth and Cher Coulter. To its subscribers, all pieces are available at the flat rate of $29.99. In my opinion, one of the largest perks to subscribing to Jewelmint is that you have access to truly unique statement pieces at high quality and affordable prices. These aren't like the accessories that you buy at Forever 21 or Charlotte Russe that will tarnish or break on you all too soon. These pieces can actually be worn and re-worn over time. Lastly, you don't purchase anything you don't like! There is no monthly commitment, just remember to click: "Skip This Month" and you won't be charged.

The first piece that I ordered were the Versailles Earrings. I was able to get these for 50% off with an online code that Jewelmint should send to their new subscribers. Score! These were actually larger than I expected them to be in real life but better bigger than smaller right? Now, I'm just waiting for an occassion to wear these to... ;)

Happy Memorial Day!

Hope everyone enjoyed the long weekend and took a moment to appreciate the men and women serving our country. The bf and I spent some time visiting his family and relaxing by the bay. The grand finale of our weekend was spent enjoying two bushels of crabs! Just a bit overboard, I know. A few pics below...

Beautiful view 'down by the bay...' :)
